Relevant Experience:

The ideal candidate holds a BSc in Human Resource Management or a related field, with 1–3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in the NGO or development sector. The candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in HR systems and MS Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. A clear commitment to dignity, inclusion, and resilience is essential. 

Job Description:

The HR Officer will be responsible to ensures effective recruitment, staff development, performance management, and compliance with labor laws, donor requirements, and organizational policies, while fostering a dignified and collaborative work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Manage end-to-end recruitment, maintain staff records, and support workforce planning aligned with project and donor needs.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs, organize orientations and refresher trainings, and maintain training records.
  • Performance Management: Support appraisal systems, goal setting, performance monitoring, and employee relations.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Coordinate payroll with Finance, manage benefits and leave, and ensure confidentiality and compliance.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws, donor and organizational policies; update HR manuals; support audits and reporting.
  • Employee Relations & Wellbeing: Handle grievances and disciplinary processes; promote a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment.
