Job Description:

The Data Analyst Officer will be responsible for managing, analyzing, validating, and reporting immunization data to ensure data quality, support program monitoring, strengthen accountability, and enable evidence-based decision-making for improved immunization outcomes. Under the technical guidance of Program Director and Program Manager, responsibilities include (but not limited to);

 

A. Data Management & Quality Assurance

  • Compile, clean, validate, and consolidate immunization data from multiple sources, including Vaccine reach sheets, Outreach and fixed-site session data, CRP and community mobilization reports, NEIR, DHIS2, and EPI MIS data
  • Conduct routine data quality checks, consistency reviews, and gap analysis.
  • Identify discrepancies, unusual trends, under-reporting, and data inconsistencies, and coordinate with field teams and DHOs for timely correction.
  • Maintain structured, well-documented databases to support audits and verification.

B. Data Analysis & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze immunization coverage trends, dropout rates (e.g., Penta-1 to Penta-3), zero-dose and missed children, and UC-level performance.
  • Support identification of low-performing UCs and priority populations using data-driven analysis.
  • Track performance against project indicators, targets, and workplans.

C. Reporting & Visualization

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc analytical reports for Provincial EPI, donor, IHHN management
  • Develop tables, charts, dashboards, maps, and presentations to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support preparation of analytical briefs and presentations for review meetings, advocacy forums, and learning events.

D. Coordination & Field Support

  • Coordinate with district teams to reconcile reported data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide on-the-job technical support to improve data recording, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Support correct and effective use of NEIR, EPI MIS, and reporting tools by field staff.

E. Decision Support & Learning

  • Translate data insights into practical programmatic recommendations to improve coverage and service delivery.
  • Contribute to documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and corrective actions.
  • Support data inputs for micro-planning, outreach planning, and performance review meetings.

F. Compliance & Data Protection

  • Ensure compliance with donor, government, and IHHN data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain secure storage and controlled access to project datasets.
  • Perform any other data-related tasks assigned by the supervisor in line with project needs.
