About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant (Consultant) to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering timely and accurate management accounts across our global branches and subsidiaries, ensuring financial data integrity and driving insights that support strategic decision-making. The Management Accountant will play a key role in maintaining project and corporate level financial visibility, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and enhancing reporting systems through automation and continuous improvement. Working closely with regional finance teams, project managers, and finance shared services, the successful candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to streamline project & corporate accounting, standardize processes, and strengthen accountability across the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CAF, CA or CIMA qualification is preferred.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a management accounting or FP&A role, ideally in an international, multi-entity environment.

  • Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, trial balances and project-level financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial best practices in both corporate and project contexts.

  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct ERP is desirable

  • Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills, with a sharp eye for accuracy and consistency.

  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools or BI dashboards.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating across global teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate between different teams, across geographies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and finalize monthly management accounts for both corporate entities and projects across global branches and subsidiaries.

  • Ensure monthly closing activities are completed on time, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to resolve all existing and legacy discrepancies

  • Perform a thorough review of the General Ledger and identify incorrect entries and incorrect classifications

  • Develop and maintain project-level financial reports on Sage Intacct that align with client invoicing, accurately reflecting revenue, costs, gross margin, and profit recognition.

  • Maintain and validate Trial Balances to reflect:

    • Project revenue, costs, margins, and profits

    • Corporate spend (e.g., overheads, admin, operations)

    • Accruals, deferred income, and work-in-progress

  • Ensure all management accounting outputs are compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal financial policies.

  • Work closely with the Finance and Project Management teams to validate the accuracy of project data and financial metrics.

  • Perform variance analysis and highlight significant deviations from budget or forecast.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing clear documentation, reconciliations, and explanations as required.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in reporting systems, financial dashboards, and automation of management reporting.

  • Ensure that Sage Intacct ERP is fully and accurately utilized for all relevant entries and reporting.

  • Lead and coordinate with Shared Services and Regional finance teams to standardize processes, resolve discrepancies, and strengthen reporting accuracy.

  • Build a culture of accountability and collaboration within finance operations, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
