An international organization is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic professional to join our team as the Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) in Islamabad. 

As DAF, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance and administration functions, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting the organization's short- and long-term goals. You will work closely with senior leadership and lead a dedicated team, including the Office Manager/Finance Manager. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure sound financial management and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee budget planning, monitoring, and reporting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by senior management and head office.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Pakistan office and the head office, providing regular updates, financial reports, and strategic insights to ensure alignment with organizational goals and directives.
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk assessments to maintain financial stability and sustainability.
  • Oversee the accurate processing of payroll according to organization's rules and regulations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and donors on financial matters, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and prevent fraud or mismanagement.
  • Oversees administrative functions and office operations to support organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to administration, compliance, and risk management.
  • Represent the organization in financial and administrative matters at meetings, and forums with external stakeholders as required. 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum a Master’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management. 
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of eight (8) years in a leadership role, preferably within an INGO or the development sector.
  • Full accounting qualification i.e., CA, ACCA or equivalent will be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, budgeting, and reporting requirements for international donors (e.g. USAID, EU, UN agencies).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
