Position Summary

The Software Expert will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality training programs related to software systems, databases, and GIS-based applications. The incumbent will play a key role in strengthening institutional capacity through structured training sessions, user support, and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs on software applications and IT systems.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and refresher courses for project staff and stakeholders.
• Prepare training manuals, user guides, and e-learning materials.
• Provide post-training technical support and performance evaluation of trainees.
• Coordinate with project teams to assess training needs and develop capacity-building plans.
• Support implementation and troubleshooting of software systems where required.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in software training, IT education, or capacity-building initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in ARIS software, database management systems (SQL/Oracle), and GIS tools.
• Strong command of MS Office Suite and familiarity with e-learning platforms and training software.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional skills.
• Ability to work effectively with government departments and multi-stakeholder environments.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in government-led projects, land record management systems, or GIS-based applications will be considered an advantage.
